I completely agree. News used to be really decent and informative> As you have written it was never a safe time for me to swith off my tv set rather it was kind of breather amidst a busy tv serial / cricket match schedule :) And Doordarshan rocks!!!!! If you want to see "no non-sense" tv then theres only one choice n its Doordarshan.
